Lunch Menus

Our provider, The Pantry, will provide the school lunches at Purley Primary School. The lunches are freshly cooked daily at Pangbourne Primary School and brought to school at lunchtime.

Parents will need to register their child directly with The Pantry via https://www.thepantrycatering.co.uk/ All lunches will need to be ordered in advance from home.

Please note that payments for school meal are to be made up front (current cost is £2.47 per meal plus a 1.29% fee per transaction). Children in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for free school lunches under the new government scheme that came into effect in September 2014.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS

Did you know … just registering your child for Free School Meals means that the school gets extra money to support your child in their learning? The Government is giving money to schools to help children from lower income families do their very best. This funding is called a ‘Pupil Premium’.

For every child registered at our school, the school could get £1300, and the money is used to provide resources and extra support for your child so that they can achieve their potential.

Of course, your child would also get a free, freshly made, hot meal every day, if you want them to have it, but that is your choice e.g: your child will still have the choice to have a packed lunch or a school dinner.

You can register online at www.westberks.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals or call 01635 503622. Just answer a few simple questions to register. No paperwork required. This doesn't affect any benefits you may be receiving. Register now (even if you don’t want to use the meals service!) so your child doesn’t miss out. Please come into the school if you want to find out more about what support your child may be able to receive.
