Read all about our Woodland adventures!
Luckily for us the sun was shining and we had a lovely dry session. We began with a game of hide and seek. We played a game called “In and out the dusky bluebells”, which we found great fun. The children went to explore the woodland. Phoebe and Poppy found some mushrooms growing on a rotten tree stump. Rafa, Harry C, Jacob and Casey made a den under the trees. Freya, Cora, Phoebe Tig, Phoebe Tov, Zara, Poppy and Esme played imaginary games and created a bridge covered with of pieces of yew. Esme recalled the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff and imagined a troll living underneath.
Samuel and Harry V discovered that their worm from last week had moved so they set about finding other creatures, making sure that they created an area that was safe and free from footsteps. They made a poster saying no children allowed to protect the worms. They used the trowels and magnifying glasses to explore. Diyor joined in after persevering to make a bow using string and wood.
